For our first post this week, we preview data from our new Pinterest Infographic – taking a look at the demographics, interests and behaviors of its users.

While Pinterest remains a niche platform overall (about a fifth of internet users outside of China have an account), it continues to enjoy its best engagement rates in the US. In fact, a third of its total user base comes from America.

In terms of demographics, women have a lead over men and there’s a heavy skew towards the youngest age groups: two thirds of its active users are aged 16-34.

Pinterest’s audience also gives yet more evidence that the Multi-Networking trend is flourishing. Practically all Pinterest users also have a Facebook account, while four in five are on Twitter and three in five are members of Instagram.
